Marsh Supermarkets Supports the Million Meal Marathon

Throughout their 80 year history, Marsh Supermarkets has had a corporate commitment to give back to the communities where their employees and customers live and work. During the month of October, Marsh will be partnering once again with Kids Against Hunger of Central Indiana to raise money for the hungry at home and the starving abroad. Shoppers at any Marsh Supermarket can donate $1 (or more) by purchasing a scan tag at the checklane. One hundred percent of the money raised will go to help fund the Million Meal Marathon at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 1.

Raymond Dunkin, Store Manager of the Marsh at Trader’s Point in Indianapolis is grateful for the efforts of Kids Against Hunger. “Thank you for all you do, for feeding our hungry children and for giving others the opportunity to help all children. Regardless of race, religion, color or creed, ALL children deserve to be loved, fed, bathed, and kept warm and safe, regardless of circumstance.” In 2010, shoppers made Trader’s Point the #1 location for funds raised for Kids Against Hunger and for Dick Lugar’s Hoosiers Fighting Hunger initiative. It is also one of the top three retail collection locations in the state of Indiana for the Salvation Army during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season.

Please support the Million Meal Marathon by giving generously during the month of October so those less fortunate will have a nutritious meal. Kids Against Hunger thanks Marsh Supermarkets and all its patrons.
