Company's volunteer efforts provide relief to the hungry and starving

Indianapolis, Dec 20, 2011 - Dow AgroSciences was named Community Partner of the Month by Kids Against Hunger of Central Indiana for its volunteer efforts to provide hunger relief locally and globally. On December 8, more than 350 employees from Indianapolis-based Dow AgroSciences volunteered to package more than 40,000 meals for the hungry in Greater Indianapolis and for famine victims in the Horn of Africa.

"Dow AgroSciences recognizes the need to give their employees the opportunity to give back to the community and the world around them," said Kids Against Hunger Program Director Angie Mollenkopf. "Employees used their opportunity to make an impact on hunger, as well as foster team building with fellow colleagues. It is partners like Dow AgroSciences that allow us to help end hunger now."

Together We Made 2011 an Amazing Year!

Thank you for partnering with Kids Against Hunger of Central Indiana. With the help of our donors, corporate partners, schools, Red Shirt Team, packing volunteers, church partners, mission teams & families, we were able to pack over 1.5 million meals in 2011. Over 7,500 volunteers packed meals that went to Indiana food pantries, refugee camps in the Horn of Africa, orphanages in Haiti and havens for homeless children in Swaziland - saving thousands of children from starvation. We realize that we could not have done this without your help and support and we want to say "THANK YOU!" Looking forward to 2012 we invite you to join us for another amazing year where we plan to do even more to END HUNGER NOW.
